Observations from THE INTRODUCTION:
Aurobindo Ghose was a political activist in Calutta (1905-1910) who was imprisoned by the BRITISH GOVERNMENT [[which I call 'necessary fertilizer']] and served as a waking up call to read the BHAGAVAD GITA which gave him that very "nourishment" and go from the 'bud' of a political activist to the 'BLOSSOM" of a true transcendent philosopher.His dream: that the historical form will adopt to a higher spiritual realization, but was practical enough to realize that this dream would take a long long time. [[SRI - THUS - BECOMES THE SEED OF THIS DREAM!!!]]
He had urged both India & the West to transcend the LIMITATIONS of any one culture. His CREED is as follows:
BY MEDITATING ON THE "GITA" HE FELT THE PRESENCE OF KRISHNA. He said that while in prison God placed the Gita in his hands ~ and thus he was set a new path....He felt from this book, that SRI KRISHNA (the East's expression of OUR FATHER GOD) demands of those who aspire to do His work
TO BE FREE...free from repulsion & desire, to do for Him without demand for fruit, to renounce SELF-WILL [[very pronounced concept of both THE NAG HAMMADI LIBRARY as well as PISTIS SOPHIA]] and become a passive & faithful instrument in His hands, to have an equal heart for high & low, friend & opponent, success & failure, yet not to do His work negligently....
[[YOUR JOB IS YOU WISH TO ACCEPT IT]]:
tO "YOGA"(join) oneself to the divine as a (yogi)and by this very process, will gain strength to realize your very freedom. This is a spiritual task ~ and must precede any manisfestation in the physical realms [[i.e. the KINGDOM OF MAN]].
[[If I could make an analogy, this 'yoking' is the same yoking that Christ talked of in THE NEW TESTAMENT (My yoke is sweet...) or as I alluded to by using the metaphor of a BULLdog ~ who clings tenaciously to his/her opponent until the task is won ~ a la my poem, "BULLdog".]]
As he wrote to his wife Mrinalini at one time:
"...I know I have the strength to uplift this fallen race; it is not physical strength, I am not going to fight with the sword or the gun, but with the power of knowledge. The power of the warrior is not the only kind of force ~ there is also the power of the Brahman which is founded on knowledge. This is not a new feeling within me, it is not of recent origin, I was born with it, it is in my marrow...and (has) become unshakable."
[[A Gnostic may translate the term Brahman as the manifestation of THE ETERNAL UNBEGOTTEN as the HOLY SPIRIT (THE HOLY SHEKINAH) which, according to a tractate in THE NAG HAMMADI called, 'Trimorphic Protennoia' ~ this GREAT SPIRIT is THE VOICE which contains THE WORD (THE LOGOS LIGHT OF THE CHRIST!)]]
SRI AUROBINDO would refer to this as THE "MOTHER" ~ which equals THE DIVINE ENERGY which he is yoked to!!!
HIS THOUGHTS ON AIMS ~ MOVEMENTS & KINDS OF PEOPLE:
His aim was NOT to found a religion or a school of philosophy or a school of yoga, but to create a ground & a way which will bring down a greater truth beyond the mind but not inaccessible to the human soul & consciousness.
A MOVEMENT IN THE CASE OF A WORK LIKE MINE MEANS THE FOUNDING OF A SCHOOL OR A SECT OR SOME OTHER DAMN NONSENSE. It means that hundreds of thousands of useless people join in & corrupt the work or reduce it to a pompous farce from which the Truth that was coming down recedes into secrecy & silence. It is what has happened to the "religions" and is the reason of their failure. THE KINDS OF PEOPLE:
(A) THE ORDINARY LIFE ~ That of the average human consciousness separated from its own true self and from the Divine and led by the common habits of the mind, life & body which are the laws of the Ignorance.
(B) THE RELIGIOUS LIFE ~ It's a movement of the same ignorant consciousness, turning or trying to turn away from the earth towards the Divine, but as yet without knowledge and led by the dogmatic tenets & rules of some sect or creed which claims to have found its way out of the bonds of the earth consciousness into some benefit Beyond. The religious life may be the first approach to the spiritaul, but very often it is only a turning about in a round of rites, ceremonies & practicis or set ideas & forms without any issue.
(C) THE SPIRITUAL LIFE ~ Proceeds directly by a change in consciousness, a change from the ordinary consciousness, ignorant & separated from its true self and from God, to a greater consciousness in which one finds one's true being and comes first into direct & living contact and then into union with the Divine. For the spiritaul seeker this change of consciousness is the one thing he seeks and nothing else matters.
[[IT SEEMS TO ME THAT MOTHER TERESA CAPTURED THIS LAST SPIRIT IN HER PRAYER, 'DO IT ANYWAY' WHICH THE READER CAN FIND BY CLICKING ONTO THE WEB PAGE: "MY ETERNAL PRAYERS".]]
SRI on "THE DESTINY OF MAN":
THE FORMULA OF WISDOM = GOD~LIGHT~FREEDOM & IMMORTALITY
THE AVATARS ( in Indian philosophy) are RAMA ~ KRISHNA & the BUDDHA. Since these revelations fall unevenly on the mass of restless humanity, life remains a riddle in want of a solution. [[THIS BECOMES A DILEMMA FOR MANY MEN & WOMEN WHO YEARN FOR THE TRUTH, BUT DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO SEEK IT IN A CYNICAL WORLD OF DECEPTION.]]
Sri accepts the basic ancient Indian sages ~ that although reality is ONE, it is "divided by a certain separativity of consciousness", or veil which separates each of us from "the true Self, the divinity within us & all."
[[As similar in the thought of "THE ROBE OF GLORY"]] Sri observes: this process (of the spirit) is called both Involution (Descent) and Evolution (Ascent), which forms an essential ingredient of Sri Aurobindo's theory of reality.
HARMONY: For all problems of existence are essentially problems of harmony. They arise from a perception of an unsolved discord and the instinct of an undiscovered agreement or unity. To rest content with an unsolved discord is possible for the practical and more animal part of man, but impossible for his fully awakened mind [[i.e. THE KINGDOM OF GOD REALIZED!]] and usually, even his practical parts only escape from the general necessity either by shutting out the problem or by accepting a rough, utilitarian & unilluminated compromise [[i.e THE KINGDOM OF MAN in action!]]....
If it be true that the Spirit is involved in Matter and apparent Nature is secret God, then the manifestation of the divine in himself and the realization of God within & without are the highest & most legitimate aim possible to man upon the earth.
AUROBINDO ends this section (on human aspiration) as part of THE DESTINY OF MAN with the following statement:
"The animal is a laboratory in which Nature has worked out man; man may very well be a laboratory in which she wills to work out superman, to disclose the soul as a divine being, to evolve a divine nature."
[[I, lebeau, have seen this echoed in two separate tracts:
one in "THE SECRET DOCTRINE" of H.P. Blavatsky IN WHICH SHE SPEAKS OF man AS THE 5TH in a series of seven root races;
the other in the summary of "PISTIS SOPHIA" which is found as part of the translations of G.R.S.MEAD in a book called "FRAGMENTS OF A FAITH FORGOTTEN" (Kessinger Publishing Co., 1991) in which the 5th race was the equivalent of the 4th cycle. WITNESS HOW IT IS QUOTED ON P. 474 OF Mead's text:
"...until the end of seven cycles or ages, of which the present is said to be the fourth, when the perfect number of those of humanity who reach perfection will pass into the interpanetary 'NIRVANA'...."
Mead is quick to add that this 'nirvana' is a state out of space & time and therefore can be reached NOW & WITHIN by very holy men [and women] who can attain the highest degree of spiritaul contemplation.
This theme is also echoed within THE NAG HAMMADI LIBRARY ('The Gospel of Thomas' as well as in the commentary of THE BHAGAVAD GITA by Paramahansa Yogananda, so there is a harmony of Aurobindo's thinking reflected in many other places.]]
MAN IN THE UNIVERSE: (A significant quote)
"...each veil that hides the unknown God becomes for the God-lover & God-seeker an instrument of His unveiling. Out of this rhythmic slumber of material Nature unconscious of the Soul & the Idea that maintained the ordered activities of her energy, even in her dumb & mighty material trance, the world struggles into the more quick, varied & disordered rhythm of Life, laboring on the verge of self-consciousness. Out of Life, it struggles upward into Mind in which the unit becomes awake to itself & its world, and in that awakening the universe gains the leverage it required for that support work, it gains self-conscious individuality. But Mind takes up the work to continue, not to complete it. It is a labourer of acute but limited intelligence who take the confused materials offered by Life and, having improved, adapted, varied, classified according to its power,hands them over to the supreme Aritist of our divine manhood. That Artist dwells in Supermind; for Supermind is Superman. Therefore our world has yet to climb beyond Mind to a higher principle, a higher status, a higher dynamism in which universe & individual become aware of & possess that which they both are and therefore stand explained to each other, in harmony with each other, unified."
[[TO PUT THIS CONCEPT SUCCINCTLY, IN "THE NAG HAMMADI LIBRARY", THE FUNCTION OF THE LOGOS LIGHT (JESUS THE CHRIST) IS TO BE THE AWAKENER; WE ARE HIS 'TWIN' A LA 'THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS' IN ACCEPTING THE GNOSIS...WHICH IS THE DESTINY OF ALL MEN: MAN IS DOOMED TO PERFECTION as stated by J.J. HURTAK in his commentary on "PISTIS SOPHIA".]]
Further, Sri states:
"Beyond life & mind we recover consciously in its divine truth that which the balance of material Nature grossly represented - a tranquility which is neither inertia nor a sealed trance of consciousness but the concentration of an absolute force and an absolute self-awareness...of ineffable bliss(!)..."
[[In Paramahansa Yogananda's brilliant commentary on THE BHAGAVAD GITA, he suggests very strongly that the method used to attain this "BLISS" is found in the discipline of 'Kriya Yoga'....While others may debate the method used, it is true that Yogananda was found in a state of 'immutability' at his death (IN 1952) AND ONLY AFTER TWENTY DAYS WAS HE FINALLY INTERRED. IMPLICATION: HE MAY HAVE KNOWN A SECRET OR TWO ABOUT TRUE BLISS AND HOW TO ATTAIN IT....]]
(Sri continuing): "On the other hand, it is by means of the universe that the individual is impelled to realize himself."
[[SOCROTES urged & PLATO stated: 'KNOW THYSELF!' In 'The Gospel of Thomas' (as part of saying three) it also states:
"When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living father. [ABBA] But if you do not know yourselves, then you dwell in poverty, and you are poverty.]]
"But man cannot rest permanently until he reaches some highest good. He is the greatest of living beings because he is the most discontented, because he feels most the pressure of limitations. He alone, perhaps, is capable of being seized by the divine frenzy for a remote ideal."
[[In 'The Gospel of Philip' (within THE NAG HAMMADI) there is a statement as to the destiny of man: "...men make gods and worship their creation. It would be fitting for the gods to worship men!"(p.72, line 35)and in 'The Apocalypse of Peter' it further states:
"The Savior said, "For a time determined for them in proportion to their error they [THE ARCHONS] will rule over the little ones [human beings]. And after the completion of the error, the never-aging one of the immortal understanding shall become young, and they (the little ones) shall rule over those who are their rulers. (p.80, lines 10-15)]]
In concluding this section, Aurobindo gives us a very insightful if long insight:
"...Because that which he (man) has become is out of harmony both with what the world of his habitation is and what he himself should be and is to be, therefore man is subject to these contradictions of the secret truth of things. In that case they are not the punishment of a fall, but the conditions of a progress. They are the first elements of the work he has to fulfill, the price he has to pay for the crown he hopes to win, the narrow way by which Nature escapes out of matter into consciousness; they are once her ransom & her stock.
For out of these false relations & by their aid the true have to be found."
[[I had once reflected on this process of change ~ as a "reallighment" of sorts which I penned at length on the web page: "WHO R U?" As far as sorting out false reality (its seeming contradictions,) I always liked the approach of Michio Kaku in his brilliant book, "HYPERSPACE" where he used an analogy of things being contradictory on a lower level: (SOLUTION)! ~ GO TO A HIGHER LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING, AND LOOKING DOWN FROM THIS HIGHER PERSPECTIVE, THE SEEMING CONTRADICTIONS ARE THEREBY RESOLVED!]]
THE LAST LINES OF THIS SECTION, GIVES US A GLIMPSE OF SRI AUROBINDO'S UNIVERSAL UNDERSTANDING OF THINGS:
"To see all things in the self & the self in all things - to be aware of one being everywhere, aware directly of the different planes, their forces, their beings - that is universalisation."
Reflections on ~ "MAN A TRANSITIONAL BEING"
"...mind is not the highest possible power of consciousness; for mind is not in possession of Truth, but only its ignorant seeker. Beyond mind is a supramental or gnostic power of consciousness that is the eternal possession of Truth. This supermind is at its source the dynamic consciousness, in its nature at once and inseperably infinite wisdom & infinite will of the divine Knower & Creator. Supermind is superman; a gnostic superhood is the next distinct & triumphant evolutionary step to be reached by earthly nature....It is inevitable because it is the intention of the inner Spirit and the logic of Nature's process."
[[If one reads "THE HOLOGRAPHIC UNIVERSE" one will see tentative evidence that the consciousness of man is separate & distinct from the mind of man, which is amply exemplified in the "out of body" anecdotal information. There is also other anecdotal information in the book, "EXPERIENCING THE SOUL" as supporting evidence used against the ideas of Edgar Mitchell in his book, "THE WAY OF THE EXPLORER" which is fully 'EXPLORED' on my web page: "BORDERLINE BOOKS".]]
[[THE SOUL VS. THE SPIRIT]]:
"An immortal soul is somewhere within him (man) & gives out some sparks of its presence; above an eternal spirit overshaddows him and upholds the continuity of his nature."
[[I am reminded of the important quote (noted elsewhere) from "THE TRIPARTITE TRACTATE":
"The Father...having sown into their thought that they may seek after Him...."
Of course the "thought" is the spirit of man since the "soul" had its origin through the lower archons (lower gods) as per the full treatise of "PISTIS SOPHIA" as commented on by J.J. Hurtak...cf. the web page: "PISTIS SOPHIA".]]
[[I am almost positive by the context that Sri Aurobindo makes the same distinction between soul & spirit of Man.]]
"Truth cannot be attained by the Mind's thought but only by identity & silent vision. Truth lives in the calm wordless Light of the eternal spaces; she does not intervene in the noise & cackle of logical debate."
[[This is a perfect portriat of what a holy soul (spirit) does in preparation for the receiving of its Lord: IT MAKES ITS ABODE EMPTY & CLEAN ALL OVER!!! I have read many details of this, especially in the life of Bernadette Soubirous of Lourdes, France who like Paramahansa Yogananda, also died in such a manner, that her body remained free from corruption!!!]]
As a matter of fact. Sri Aurobindo ends this section with the following quote:
"For in an impure mind the silence will soon fill with misleading lights & false voices, the echo of sublimation of its own vain conceits & opinions or the response to its secret pride, vanity, ambition, lust, greed, or desire. The Titans & the Demons will speak to it more readily than the divine Voices."
[[WHAT BETTER WAY TO END THIS SECTION THN TO REPEAT THE BEATITUDE ECHOED BY JESUS THE CHRIST:
BLESSED ARE THE PURE OF HEART FOR THEY SHALL SEE GOD.]]
REGARDING EVOLUTION & INVOLUTION:
Aurobindo made the following insightful observation long before Michael Talbot penned his own insightful information on the theories of David Bohm vis-a-vis THE HOLOGRAPHIC UNIVERSE:
"The word evolution carries with it an intrinsic sense, in the idea at its root the necessity of a previous involution. We must, if a hidden spiritual being is the secret of all the action of Nature, give its full power to that latent value of the idea. We are bound then to suppose that all that evolved ALREADY EXISTED (my emphasis) involved, passive or otherwise active, but in either case concealed from us in the shell of material Nature."
[[Part of the ENIGMA of higher physics to this very day ~ i.e. 2001 ~ is this very observation: the "explicate" as referred to by the brilliant physicist - DAVID BOHN- is the electron that is viewed in a certain way """when seen""" by our limited reality, but when it is NOT SEEN, returns to another more "IMPLICATE" order where it behaves much more differently....This is the reason that QUANTUM PHYSICS is a guess - at best - because we simply do not know the details of this strange & bizarre "IMPLICATE ORDER!" This, of course, makes Sri Aurobindo a genius when it comes to the intuition on the process of "evolution" vs. "involution"....]]
[[[SPECIAL NOTE]]]: I HAVE FELT, EVER SINCE READING THE HIGHER ESOTERIC INFORMATION AVAILABLE THROUGH THE VEDIC & GNOSTIC LITERATURE, THAT THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION IS ALL SCREWED UP: i.e. THINGS OPERATE FROM THE TOP-DOWN...AND NOT FROM THE BOTTOM-UP....PERIOD!!!]]]
KUNDALINI: [[THE GREAT ESCAPE! Aurobindo gives a brilliant explanation of this coiled energy and how it becomes "released" and ties in with the gnostic concept of the spirit's return to its root!]]
"...Kundalini, eternal force coiled up in the body in the bottom root vessel or chamber, 'muladhara', pedestal, earth center of the physical nervous system. There she slumbers, coiled up like a python and filled full of all that she holds gathered in her being but when she is struck by the freely coursing breath, by the current of Life which enters into search for her, she awakes & rises flaming up the ladder of the spinal chord and forces open centre after cnetre of the involved dynamic secrets of consciousness till at the summit she finds, joins and becomes one with the Spirit. Thus she passes from an involution in inconscience through a series of opening glories of her powers into the greatest superconsciousness of the Spirit."
[[THIS IS NO LESS THAN AN ALTERNATE DESCRIPTION OF THE ESCAPE OF THE "SPIRIT" WITHIN THE SOUL OF THE LOWER ORDERS (archon-gods) AS DESCRIBED IN 'THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS' within THE NAG HAMMADI LIBRARY as well as the fuller version of "PISTIS SOPHIA"....In THOMAS it sugggests that once you 'know' yourself, then you will become known (i.e. the "Life which enters in search of her" [your awakened spirit])...and in "PISTIS SOPHIA" after one awakens by the closing of the five major lower centers (the seven chakras) a wonderful thing happens: THE SOUL ('THE INNER SPIRIT OF MAN WHICH CAME FROM GOD') BECOMES LIKE A Light beam and shoots past the lower dimensions ~ even so ~ that the obstructing archons can no longer touch the escape of such a one....]]
THE PHILOSOPHY OF REBIRTH: [[Although Iwill just quote what urobindo has to say on p.111 of his softcover Lindisfarne Books publication, it may be instructive to read the whole section from p.92 to p.114, to get the flavor of why he considers the WHOLE of evolution as a gradual process of Man's fuller development ~ "as Man" from other sentient organisms, where "MAM" per se, has not yet reached his final plateau.]]
"What we see of Nature & of human nature justifies this view of a birth of an individual soul from form to form until it reaches the human level of manisfested consciousness which is its instrument for rising to yet higher levels. We see that Nature develops from stage to stage and in each stage takes up its past and transforms it into stuff of its new development. We see too that human nature is of the same make; all the earth-past is there in it...."
[[Despite the brilliance of Sri Auorbindo's philosophical speculations heretofore, I must beg the reader to consider an alternative to this sore point of "TRANSMIGRATION OF SOULS": that Man's soul (spirit) has occupied lower forms before starting his spiritual evolution as MAN. There are certainly other views of this subject ~ which in NO WISE interferes with the overall TRUTH of reincarnation as being a necessary process; however, to say that Man's spirit inhabited other forms beforehand, may very well be at variance with the true reality of the situation. CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING SOURCES:
Firstly, Evolution ~ on a PHYSICAL level ~ has never been proven to be true!!! As a matter of fact, a notable personality in the person of Frederick Holye (astronomenr/mathematician) said that one of the major tenets for evolution ("SPONTANEIOUS ANIMATION") is as likely to transpire AS A tornado "creating" a jumbo jet out of the junk it swirled together in any given town ~~ or frankly, ZERO!!!
Then there is Lloyd Pye, a bone specialist. In his very insightful book, "EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS WRONG", suggested that Man was more likely 'BIOGENETICALLY ENGINEERED' from the splicing of genes from an existing hominid (like homo erectus, but perhaps some other species which he speculated on in his book) which then were combined to the genes of another off-planet culture. Here, he agrees with the body of evidence as presented by Zecharia Sitchin from his own book, "THE 12TH PLANET" ~in which that off-planet culture turned out to be 'THE ANUNNAKE', the group that gave the Sumeerian culture their knowledge.
AND THINK ABOUT THIS...If there is no "hard" evidence for PHYSICAL evolution, how can we analogously say that there is a SPIRTUAL evolutionary process in progress???
But there are other different arguments that fly "in the face" of Sri's assumption:
(A) In an albeit "channeled" source from Levi Dowling (considered by many a very holy man) ~ he was given information in one night (similar to the informational source as Edgar Cayce had gotten his) ~ that dovetailed the hidden years of JESUS THE CHRIST with the sacredness of the NEW TESTAMENT information, namely, in a work called, "THE AQUARIAN GOSPEL OF JESUS THE CHRIST". In this book, there is an interesting dialogue between JESUS THE CHRIST & Barata about the nature of REINCARNATION (Chapter 32): Jesus takes exception to the Buddhist doctrine of evolution & REVEALS THE ORIGIN OF TRUE MAN!!!.....Starting with verse 10...
"And Jesus said, Barata Arabo,who taught you this, that mind, which is the man, may manifest in flesh of beast, or bird, or creeping thing?
Barata said, From time which man remembers not our priest have told us so, and so we know.
And Jesus said, Enlightened Arabo, are you a master mind and do not know that man knows naught by being told?
Man may believe what others say; but thus he never knows. If man would know, he must himself be what he knows.
Time never was when man was not.
That which begins will have an end. If man was not, the time will come when he will not exist.
Do you remember Arabo when you were an ape, a bird or a worm?
Now, if you have no better proving of your plan than that the priest have told you so, you do not know; you simply guess.
Regard not, then, what any man has said; let us forget the flesh, and go with mind into the world of fleshless things; mind never does forget.
And backward through the ages master minds can trace themselves; and thus they know.
Time never was when man was not.
That which begins will have an end. If man was not, the time will come when he will not exist.
From God's own record book we read: The Triune God breathed forth, and seven spirits stood before his face. (The Hebrews call the seven spirits Elohim.)
And these are they, who in their boundless power, created everything, that is, or was.
These Spirits of the Triune god moved on the space of boundless space and seven ethers were, and every ether had its form of life....
These plains with all their teeming thoughts of God, are never seen by eyes of man in flesh; they are composed of substance far too fine for fleshy eyes to see, and still they continue the soul of things....
And in their native places all creatures are supplied with nurishment fromn the ethers of their planes.
And so it was with every living thing until they will become a sluggish will, and then the ethers of the protoplast, the earth, the plant, the beast, the man, began to vibrate very slow.
(AND ENDING WITH VERSE 38)
And so an earth is never plant; a beast, a bird, or creeping thing is never man, and man is not, and cannot be, a beast, a bird, or creeping thing...."
These are very strong & pointed words (THAT SOUND DIVINE TO ME) that seemingly contradict & very clearly, what Sri Aurobindo assumes about the TRANSMIGRATION OF SOULS! But if Sri's speculations ar questionable, then it is not just a 'channeled' source that refutes this uncertain philosophy (ON TRANSMIGRATION ONLY)! This is the very heart of the foremost 'tractate' of THE NAG HAMMADI LIBRARY: 'The Apocryphon of John' where it states quite clearly on its page 15, lines 5~14 THAT the angels were responsible for the creation of the parts of men, as in,
"...'Come, let us create a man according to the image of God, and according to our likeness, that his image, having become a light for us...And each authority supplied a characteristic that was in the form of the image which he had seen in its natural (form)...And they said, 'Let us call him Adam, that his name may become a power of light to us."
Then, in the source book, " FRAGMENTS OF A FAITH FORGOTTEN", G.R.S.Mead, he quotes from "the Basilidian Gnosis" the following:
"The vulgar superstition of transmigration, the passing of a human soul into the body of an animal ~ so often confused by the uninstructed with the doctrine of reincarnation, which denies such a possiblity ~ received a rational explanation at the hand of the Basilidian school. It arose from the consideration of the animal nature in man, the animal soul, or body of desire, the ground in which the passions inhere....."
But even though man may have been 'finely' spiritually 'seeded' within his own hominoid species, his goal may, in fact, be TO BE of service to OTHER species AFTER HIS OWN 'COMPLETION'....Witness the words from "PISTIS SOPHIA" as commented on by J.J. Hurtak:

Then, if that is not enough, there is the nagging & somewhat baffling questions exemplified in THE ALIEN ABDUCTION PHENOMENON (not MILAB ~ or military abductions!!!) I will grant that Aurobindo may not have been pointedly aware of this KIND of information, since he did die in 1950....
